After reading Lloyd's update, the one thing I am left wondering but think I know the answer to: the cop tops never found out if the house was in foreclosure, did they?
Crazy Lloyd

Some people find me abrasive, aggressive, even hostile, and I have been given advice on how to be "nicer". I guess I feel like clarifying that I come across exactly how I want when dealing with people 99% of the time. If I offend you let me be clear, "I DO NOT LIKE YOU" - as in go fuck yourself and die slow.

We all need people in our lives to provide community and a social world to which an individual can belong and feel as "part of the whole". This is more clear to me than to those that want to advise me on how to 'influence, impress, and make friends' by concerning myself with conforming my behavior to certain expected mores and such customary trifles which distinguish the cultured from the savage. Fuck 'em. I am not ignorant of these ways and am fully capable of modifying my behavior to suit my needs in a social situation; having worked in customer service for 16 years there is record of this as accomplished in good measure. So why do I not provide more pleasant company?

I find there are two parts to a man: his body and his mind. I pity every mortal body I encounter, and see it as another life suffering in this world like every other animal. However, the minds of men are not all equal in capability. I am not sure if it has always been this way, or if it is a condition brought on by Civilization, but either way it is how it is that most men are incapable of having authority over their own minds, and such is the nature of their enslavement. They are shackled by knowledge and incapable of realizing the simplest things which their senses tell them. They do not believe in their own ability to reason. They rely on "truths" and "facts" that they have read, or in most cases, been told. Of course the choice example is religious teachings, and in my experience, the Christians who follow them.

I do not think many Christians have actually read the Bible and given it much thought. The absurdness of its content is reviewed and found in multiplicity across the internet. The Bible contains outright contradiction upon contradiction, and depicts a god which falls short of what a modern person understands as morally acceptable thinking. The bible is filled with bloody stories of torture, war, and all types of violence and malfeasance. The Christian god is a mean-spirited, violent being which acts more out of vile base emotions than any semblance of rational or enlightened motives. It is no wonder that Christians live such violent and traumatic lives as they do. In these teachings they have faith, which denies their ability to see that it is unreasonable to believe such nonsense as is written in this book like so many others they do not "believe in". There is more value in terms of promoting personal growth to be found in the works of Dr. Seuss than in any version of the astro-theological hybrid that is the Christian canon.

It is commonly accepted that some amount respect and tolerance be shown to those who believe differently than oneself. To some degree I concur, but my respect for any man is no greater than his respect for his own capability to reason. If he presents me with some fact or truth from a source, and he relies on that source for the veracity of the article he upholds, thenI have no need to deal with him, but rather address the source from whence the knowledge he claims originates. For I believe in nothing so much as my own senses and reason, and accept any challenge to verify the claims made by others concerning what we observe as the nature of the Universe in which we exist. I do not see much point in continuing a conversation, and therefore a relationship, with those who swear the truth is to be found in some archaic tome. These people do not enrich my life in any way, and I would trade them all for pets which do not pretend to be men, or beg of me to respect them as such.

So in short, I have plenty of family and friends, and to me quality matters more than quantity. So if you get the picture that I think you are a fucktard, I'll think your at least a halfwit if you can figure out it would be better to just stay away... as in 'fuck off' or 'go fuck yourself'. I do not like what your beliefs have manifest in this world, and I lump you in a group of the criminally brainwashed who deserve what America deserves. It is your life which is wanton and lacking; not mine, so stay the fuck away if you would, please. Seek what you need elsewhere, I have nothing for you and need nothing from you. May your beliefs speed you to the grave and out of this life for which you have no appreciation, except as an obstacle between you and your master.

I'm still sporting the ultra patchy. It's been filling in one hair at a time, so I think that I'll be able to grow a solid beard around my 40th birthday. I bought a new trimmer (not a Zoom Trimmer) that was somewhat smaller to help with potential comedy haircuts. It had these beard instructions in the manual. I don't have a joke for them, I just think they're funny.

So what type of beard/mustache are you growing, FMK?

I do like the wrap on tape idea. I also agree with avoiding the word "podcast." It's pretty much the same feeling I have about "blog."

Oh yeah I forgot about the super lazy wrap we did in the comments section. I take it back, we can wait another year to do the next wrap.

Hate to disappoint, but I am dead.

Not really, but I came to post that the new Supersuckers album is on Ruckus which saved me from having to by my first new CD in like three years.

Incipiat Turba on tape sounds cool as long as we don't call it a podcast. I was also thinking we should do a wrap for 2008 since we tragically didn't do one the whole year and it's been like two years since I contributed anything to the site. We could combine these brilliant ideas and do a Wrap on Tape (TM).

Ok, now I'm getting concerned again. Agitator, post something if you're not dead.

Also, I had an inspired idea:

Incipiat Turba on tape! I'm still amused by the sound clips I obtained from the SAS movie series. I think it would be even better if we could get recordings of us reading our favorite IT content. Also, Ultimate One, if you'd be willing to read your updates where you trashed RHF and SHB, that would be double rad twice over.

I'm not as "hip" and "with it" as I used to be, so forgive me if this is old news, but apparently The Supersuckers have a new CD out.

http://www.supersuckers.com/07website_dir/index.php

There are tracks on there for listening action. I'll be making my way over to Hoodlums to pick it up as soon as I get the chance. It occurred to me that sadly The Supersuckers are on the extremely short list of FMK's favorite bands who are both still together and still not embarrassing. As far as I can tell it's down to them, Social Distortion, and The Brodys.

I finally gave up on AC/DC recently with that previously mentioned lameness. That's some sad shit.

More Lute Asshole news:

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=3703153

A "personal and confidential" letter was sent to the Rebounders Club board of directors with an electronic signature of Lute Olson. The letter was a request to club members to provide financial assistance to Jim Storey's Cactus Classic AAU tournament. It expressed how important this event is to the Arizona program for recruiting. Arizona has signed players who have participated in this camp. The letter states, "to ensure the future of this tournament, Jim needs support from private donations. The athletic department can't assist in any way. This is why your help is crucial."

Olson denied knowing the letter was being sent out. Arizona said athletic department personnel thought the letter was supposed to go out.

What is potentially troubling for Arizona is that on April 15, Olson introduced Storey at the Rebounders Club meeting. He turned the meeting over to Storey and then departed. Storey's presentation dealt with requesting financial assistance. The presentation was two-plus minutes and, according to Arizona, not all of the people stayed. But the NCAA may want to question how Olson could have introduced Storey and not known his topic.

Re: AC/DC

Yeah, that guy hit the nail on the head. AC/DC being in the same category as The Eagles in anything is not a good sign. Thankfully I am quite poor right now and so the issues of whether to try to find Black Ice somwhere other than Wal-Mart or to see AC/DC in concert resolved themselves easily. Even then, I can't say I was that excited about either one.

Re: Lute Olsen

To correct/add on to FMK's story about my experience with Lute. It was worse than that. UofA was winning pretty handily with only a few minutes left in the game but Old Lute still had to get his walker out so he could stand up and argue a call that went in ASU's favor. That's when a few ASU fans (and possibly myself, but it was okay because I was wearing a borrowed ASU shirt and I got the handstamp for the student section despite having no student ID, nor offering any explanation for not having one) yelled at him to shut up because he was being a bad sport by arguing calls at that point in the game. That's when he pointed at the scoreboard and provoked the "Lute's an asshole" chants, which rank second only to "Fuck you, BYU" (at Cal vs. BYU football game, 2001) on my list of favorite all-time chants that I've gotten to participate in.

Re: Tax Exempt status

Preston said he was working on it, but that was before he realized that his diploma from the University of Sheboygan School of Law was actually printed on the back of a sheet of Pizza Hut coupons. He used the coupons and now he can't practice law anymore.

AC/DC & Walmart... gross

http://www.hoodlumsmusic.com/blog/archives/521

Hoodlums is my favorite independent record store (which used to be dangerously located on ASU's campus for my between class impulse buying). I'd argue with this guy, but he's right and I'm sad.

On the tax exempt status, I believe we did ask our lawyer to look into that. Agitator, did you ever hear back from Preston on that issue?

Well I made the mistake of reading the rest of FMK's comment, so here goes:

Mike,

I tried to write something, but my computer ate it and then told me to tell you to fuck off. Sorry, I'll try again next week.

Seriously I talked to Joe when I realized my 6 page essay on being a corporate American was not saved.

Kyle

PS- Fuck off you jerk my computer ate my homeworK!

I didn't read all of FMK's comments, just the "typically harsh comments from TUO, but he probably has a point"...I just want to say even though I hate you guys (well, I hate everyone), I feel a strange pride knowing that the first reaction to me saying "I hate you guys" is considered a valid point. I'm going to go taunt some yuppies in celebration. Because one day, we'll unfortunately be those yuppies, but we'll be giving the kids pointers.

We are the greatest community service organization ever, why don't we try for tax exempt status?

That's some typically harsh commentary from The Ultimate One, but he probably has a point. That reminds me, Ultimate One, you were supposed to provide us with some content. Write some shit so we can stop the site from looking abandoned.

I'm going to enjoy this as much as I can to distract myself from the current state of ASU football:

Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll keep making noise during this coming season and further stunt the recovery of the Arizona basketball program.
